Ever happiness

“Hey! Leave her alone,” a boy shouting at a group of boys beating a young girl as he began to run towards a swing near a large lake. They stared with intense rage as they slowly backed away from him murmuring the words, “Demon lover.” The teenagers soon rushed to pick up the weak and fragile girl. Her body now bruised by the group.

“You okay Aika? Are you hurt anywhere?” he asked as he offered his hand to pick her up carefully as possible. Her long silky black hair, coving her two mix-matched eyes one light and one dark blue eyes staring up at him, and soon smiled as  if nothing happened to her, though rubbing her arms, “I am okay Nori.”

“I see then, do you know why they hit you?” he said, in a caring tone behind it, he did not care for her wellbeing all he wanted was having sex with her even though they just started dating.

“I don’t know Nori-kun; I guess,” she paused thinking of an answer, “it’s because of my eyes,” Aika had said in discomfort as she slowly began to stand grabbing his arm the chain of the swing, staring at it for a while. She turned back to Nori smiling, “Do you think you can push me on the swing? A long time ago a friend of mine do that when we were young.” she said in an embarrassed tone, bringing up her past,  her face slowly turned a bit red as she slowly sat on the swing waiting for her boyfriend to push her on the swing.

Distances away from the two lovers, a young female, wearing a blue maid’s outfit, headed towards the lake. She carried a picnic basket and camera in order to enjoy a beautiful day by the lakeside. The maid walked past the gates all the way through the courtyard aligned with various types of plants on the sides behind these were large green tree, providing shade for small animals such as squirrels, mice, and turtles. As she strolled past the fountain, she eyed her reflection in its clear water. And a second pair of eyes by a tree.

The maid paused, placing the basket to the ground; stealthily pulling out the small dagger strapped to her lower leg. Realizing she was the only person in the area, she slowly scanned past the tree only to notice a chipmunk staring at her, stuffed in its cheeks were cherries from a cherry tree, and ran off to seek shelter from the maid.

“Odd… I thought I saw a small child past those trees” she slowly placed her dagger back in its sheath and picked up the basket as she continued onward.
As the maid left, a child with long teal hair emerged from behind the trees. She had been staring at her through the shadows of the trees, watching the dark red haired maid, gazing at her.

“If only you knew,” she said grinning as she walked in the opposite direction, her form slowly began to change the now little child to a teenager.

As the shorthaired maid arrived at the lake, she noticed Aika smiling and laughing as she was pushed back and on the swing. The maid once again put down the picnic basket to retrieve her camera, taking a couple of pictures smiling as well. As soon as the maid arrived, the short haired girl immediately ran off the swing rushing to her maid yelling, “Mei, guess what?” she said excitedly.

“What is it Lady Aika?” she asked smiling at her mistress welcoming her with opened arms.

The young girl ran up and stopped, pausing to take a breath, “Is it okay if you tell father I’ll be eating with Nori?” slightly winded as she tried to catch her breath.
Mei just stood there idly and suddenly dropped the lunch basket stuttering, “Are… are you sure? Your father will not like this at all, Lady Aika,” the sound of Mei’s tone was in a state of sadness, knowing what her father might do to her.

Nori walked down to greet Mei, “Hey Mei how’s it going?”

Mei’s tone suddenly changed from a whimpering dog back to normal, “Greetings sir,” giving a slight bow, “my day was not as exciting as I hoped.”

“Sorry to hear that, Mei” he scratched his head, and slowly grabbed Aika’s hand causing her to blush, “So is it possible if she can join me for some food?”

The maid closed her eyes sighing. “It is perfectly fine…Lady Aika, please enjoy your food” she slowly picked up her lunch basket slowly walking past them. Mei then mumbled the words; “If you whatsoever harm my mistress, I will kill you,” she soon disappeared into the household.

Nori gulped in discomfort as Aika assured him she was only kidding. With that, the two headed to town to enjoy their delicacy.

Inside Aika’s large estate, a large bald headed man stared at them smirking, “Heh, in that case, maybe I should have Mei do it for me,” he laughed as he slowly walked to his desk writing on some documents on slime research.
